How To Check Which Version Of Windows You’re Running
Here’s 2 quick ways to check which Windows version you’re currently running. You can also get other system info and details using these methods.
CHECK WINDOWS VERSION USING CONTROL PANEL
The first and most common method is via the Control Panel.
1. Open the Start Menu and type ‘control panel’. Click the control panel option that appears or press ENTER.
2. In Control Panel, make sure you have the ‘view by’ option in the top right corner set to ‘small icons’. Afterwards, select ‘System”.
3. You should now be viewing your Windows version along with other system info and specs.
CHECK WINDOWS VERSION WITH WINVER
If you need to get the exact version number, build number and/or release date, use the winver command. This command is short for Windows Version.
1. Open the ‘Start Menu and type ‘winver’. Click the winver option that appears or press ENTER.
2. You should now be viewing a window displaying detailed Windows version info.
Well, that’s it. Pretty simple, huh? I hope this info helped.
